The Obligatory First Post

Thursday, March 8th, 2007

It feels customary to start a blog with a brief introduction summarizing its purpose and a brief description of its author. However, I’ll rather redirect the curious reader to the “About This Blog” page, which shall serve as such an introduction.

Here, I’ll only say that this is not the first blog of mine. I also keep a more personal blog on the popular LiveJournal community site. I’m not entirely decided on whether I want to merge the two, or keep them separate. I’ll probably stick to the latter, as my LiveJournal has somewhat degenerated from a place for me to express my thoughts to simply sharing what is happening to me at the moment, and such information would only be particularly useful to my friends. I am, however, considering cross-posting entries from this blog onto my LiveJournal.

Now, on to the question of what to expect from this particular weblog in the near future. I’ve actually had a few ideas flying around my head that I never bothered to formally write out and share. These include the discussion of importance of sleep (which I’ve lately been lacking due to school tests, assignments, and overly poor personal planning), importance of life in the universe (or lack thereof), the ever so infamous C++ vs Java debate, and so on. So, if you’re interested in any of these or related topics and you would like to read my opinion on them, keep tuned.
